Septic Tulare

Tulare Septic Systems

Tulare and the central valley has a large population of properties that require septic tanks. Quik Rooter & Plumbing Inc has been servicing and installing these septic tanks in the central valley since 1976. At Quik Rooter & Plumbing Inc we pride ourselves in having the best equipment possible to meet your plumbing needs. We have a fleet of vacuum trucks and other equipment needed to deal with any septic issue you may have. Septic tanks are needed for homes or businesses that are in remote areas and cannot connect to the city sewer line.

The water lines from your home that come from your sinks, toilets and showers all lead to your septic tank. These tanks are made up of all different kinds of materials and come in all different sizes. Septic tanks usually range from seven hundred and fifty to two thousand gallons depending on the size of your house or business and how many bathrooms you may have. Commercial and agricultural tanks can be larger in size at times. The septic tanks we install are made of concrete, but they can also be made of fiberglass and plastic. Most septic tanks have two compartments for solid and liquid waste.

Once the waste from your home or business drains down the sewer line and into the septic tank it gets broken into two parts, solid and liquid as mentioned above. The first compartment in the tank holds all the solids, the liquid then seeps over into the second compartment. This is in place to prevent clogging in your drains. From here the liquid sewage then travels into a leach field or seepage pit where it then seeps down into the ground.

Maintenance is imperative to keep your septic tank and sewer line working properly. Failure to keep up maintenance could lead to expensive repairs in the future. At Quik Rooter & Plumbing Inc we recommend you pump your tank every one to two years. You should also treat your leach line or seepage pit with sulfuric acid once it has aged. When you wait too long to pump your tank the solid waste seeps over into the liquid compartment and can cause your septic tank to fail. This same problem can also cause your leach line and/or seepage pit to fail as well. At times this problem can be repaired but in most cases the septic tank needs to be completely replaced. Another big problem with septic tanks is roots. When there are trees around the septic tanks roots can get into the pipes and cause clogging and damage. This can lead to repairs such as new sewer lines or it can lead to replacing the tank. We recommend the use of rock salt when roots are present. Rock salt will dry out the area and make it hard for roots to live in that area.
